Washpapa production cycle

Washpapa is produced in Europe. It is FSC certified, (acquired at the stage of obtaining wood pulp, necessary for the production of our paper) as well as Oeko Tex Standard 100 and Reach standards certified. Washpapa can proudly say#Imadeyourfibre and you can write #Imadeyourbag.

Below, a few words from Texon – washpapa producer, on their approach to ecology, social responsibility and sustainable development.

Texon takes environmental issues very seriously.

After an independent audit, all Texon Vogue products have obtained the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certificate. The certificate guarantees that products made from wood pulp come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. FSC is considered the most rigorous, international standard for responsible forestry.

Washpapa Standard [Texon Vouge] also meets the requirements of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 standard, which tests harmful substances on textiles that have close contact with the skin.

To quote Texon: ‘Not only are our products sustainable, we also strive to create processes that will reduce our environmental impact by reducing CO2 emissions, energy consumption and fresh water consumption in our production activities’.

We produce responsibly.
